Announcements are platform-wide messages displayed to all users when they log in or visit the dashboard. They are ideal for communicating season dates, rule changes, maintenance windows, and other important information.
Announcements are visible to all users regardless of their team, division, or role. Use them for information that is genuinely relevant to the whole platform — not for messages that only affect one team or one match.

Announcement types

Choose the type that matches the urgency of your message:
TypeColorUse for
InfoBlueGeneral news, schedule updates, new features
WarningYellowUpcoming deadlines, registration closing soon, policy reminders
CriticalRedServer maintenance, urgent rule clarifications, emergency changes
Reserve Critical announcements for genuine emergencies. Over-using the red banner trains users to ignore it.

Managing existing announcements

From the announcements list, you can:
  • Edit any announcement (click the pencil icon). Changes take effect immediately.
  • Unpublish an announcement to hide it without deleting it.
  • Delete an announcement permanently. Deleted announcements do not appear in the audit log body, but the deletion action itself is logged.

Announcement best practices

  • Be clear and concise. Users skim announcements. Put the most important information in the first sentence.
  • Include a deadline if one exists. “Registration closes Friday at 11:59 PM ET” is better than “registration is closing soon.”
  • Set an expiry date. Outdated announcements create confusion. Set an expiry for anything time-sensitive.
  • Use the Warning type for deadlines. Yellow draws attention without the alarm of red.
  • Cross-post to Discord. Announcements are on the platform, but most users live in Discord. Always post important information in the relevant Discord channel as well.
