Player eligibility requirements
Every player on your roster must satisfy all four of the following:Verified .edu email
The player must have added and verified a .edu email address on their C3 Esports profile. Free webmail addresses (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) do not qualify.
Linked Discord account
The player must have connected their Discord account via the profile settings. This is how staff and opponents identify players.
Not on another active roster
Players can only be on one registered team roster at a time. Being on a second team’s roster — even in a different division — is not permitted.
Currently enrolled
Players must be actively enrolled at an accredited college or university. Graduated students, students on leave, or non-enrolled individuals are not eligible.
Checking eligibility on your roster page
Your team’s roster page shows an eligibility status for each player. Look for:- Green checkmark — player meets all requirements
- Yellow warning — player is missing something (hover or click to see what)
- Red X — player is ineligible and cannot compete
Proof of enrollment
Staff operate on an honor system but reserve the right to request proof of enrollment at any time — particularly if a dispute is filed or if a player’s eligibility is questioned. Acceptable proof includes:- A current class schedule (screenshot from your school’s student portal)
- A tuition payment receipt for the current semester
- An official enrollment verification letter from your registrar
Staff will contact the player directly via Discord or email if proof of enrollment is requested. Players who cannot provide proof within 48 hours of the request may be ruled ineligible for that match week.
Graduate students and part-time students
Graduate students and part-time students are eligible as long as they are officially enrolled and have a valid .edu email. There is no GPA or credit hour minimum — eligibility is based on enrollment status only. What happens if an ineligible player competes
If it is discovered that an ineligible player played in a match:- The match result may be overturned in the opposing team’s favor.
- The ineligible player may be removed from the roster by staff.
- Repeated violations may result in suspension of the team manager.
